Parole denied for Marengo County inmate

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles has denied parole for Marengo County inmate Jeremy Dion Griffin. A hearing for Griffin was held on Oct. 17. The results of the hearing were released on Oct. 19. The Board voted to deny parole with no reset date
Griffin has convictions in Marengo County and Hale County. He is serving time for two 2022 convictions and is incarcerated in the Elmore Correctional Facility in Elmore County. Griffin has, so far, served one year and eleven months for the two convictions.
The two convictions include distribution of a controlled substance in Marengo County on Apr. 7, 2022, and distribution of a controlled substance in Hale County on Apr. 19, 2022. Both convictions were for 120 months each, with the Hale County conviction to be served concurrently. The convictions together total 20 years.
Griffin’s parole consideration date was Oct. 1 and he has a minimum release date of Mar. 6, 2025.
