Demopolis woman killed in Greene County crash

A Demopolis woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Greene County. The crash occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. Oct. 26.
The crash claimed the lives of Dana P. Freeman, 55, of Demopolis and Joseph D. Lunceford, 44, of Northport. Freeman was fatally injured when the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban that she was driving collided head-on with the 2004 Chevrolet Express G3500 driven by Lunceford.
Both Freeman and Lunceford were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 43 near the 142 mile marker, approximately four miles south of Forkland, in Greene County.
Freeman was a former teacher with the Demopolis City School System.
No further information is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
