The Demopolis Tigers traveled to Columbiana Friday to take on the Shelby County Wildcats. It was a low scoring game, but the Tigers came away with a 21-0 victory scoring two of their three touchdowns in the first half and the final score in the third quarter.
Keishawn Rowser put the Tigers on the board early in the first quarter on a 5-yard run with 10:31 still on the clock. Jose Tellez’s extra point kick was good and put the Tigers up 7-0.
Antonio Cox scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter at the 7:59 mark. Tellez came on again for the PAT and knocked it through, upping the Demopolis lead to 14-0.
Rowser scored the only touchdown of the second half on a 30-yard run to the end zone. Tellez was three-for-three on extra point attempts, making the final score of the game 21-0.
