Panthers fall to county rival Linden 22-6

The Marengo Panthers lost their Sept. 15 game against the Linden Patriots 22-6. The Patriots had control of the game for the majority of the night and held strong to keep the Panthers out of the end zone.
Defensive stats for the Panthers saw Michael James with eight tackles for three losses, one sack, a fumble recovery, and one touchdown. Kewuan Sanders had two tackles, Devonte Tucker had seven tackles for three losses, and one sack, Jamarcus Battle had four tackles for three losses, one sack, and one forced fumble, Omar Autrey has two tackles, and Jamarcus Bouler had 15 tackles for three losses, two sacks, and one forced fumble.
Toriano Kelly had 11 tackles with seven for a loss, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery, Centell Bruno one tackle, O’Nealius Norwood had two tackles and one interception. Jeremiah Bouler had three tackles and one fumble recovery, Jamarion Allen had three tackles, Jordan Moore had four tackles with one for a loss, King Fisher had one tackle.
On offense, Jeremiah Bouler completed two of 12 passes for 33 yards and had ten rushing yards. Toriano Kelly had 26 rushing yards, Battle seven rushing yards, King Fisher completed one of three passes for five yards, and Jamann McCaskey had two receptions for 33 yards.
The Panthers will be at home again this Friday as they host the Keith Bears in their third region game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
