SWHS recognized for highest completion rate of FAFSA

Sweet Water High School was recently awarded with a “Celebration Day” on June 7 for having its seniors complete the FAFSA. All Marengo County Schools reached 100 percent on the FAFSA, but Sweet Water was the first to complete it.
As a reward for completing the FAFSA, SWHS will receive a grant of $1000 towards their efforts of enhancing postsecondary access in their schools.
Other schools in the state were also rewarded for their completion levels of the FAFSA. In the “small” school category Loveless Academic Magnet Program completed 86.09 percent of the FASA, Lee High School completed 83.33 percent, Hewitt-Trussville completed 63.66 percent, and Central High School (Phenix City) completed 68.19 percent.
Under most improved, Central High School (Hayneville) received a 142.86 percent improvement rate, Madison County Virtual Academy had 68.48 percent, Citronelle High School had 93.52 percent, Alma Bryant High School had 92.81 percent, and Central High School (Phenix City) had a 24.65 percent improvement rate.
