Demopolis Public Library Summer Reading: Read Beyond the Beaten Path

Now that school is out for summer vacation, it is time for the annual Summer Reading Program at the Demopolis Public Library. This year’s program begins on Tuesday June 6 and goes through Thursday, June 29. The theme for the program is “Read Beyond the Beaten Path.”
Tuesday, June 6 will feature Animal Tales at 3:00 p.m. and all ages are welcome to attend. Thursday June 8 will feature Tom’s Bees at 2:00 p.m. and school age children and adults are welcome to attend.
Events for the week of June 12 will feature Butterfly House crafts on June 13 at 2:00 p.m. for teens and adults. Participants must register beforehand. June 15 will feature Mr. Bond’s Science Guys at 2:30 p.m. for all age groups.
June 19 is Juneteenth and will have a Lunch and Learn with Mary Jones-Fitts at 12:00 p.m. Rustic Renewal Horse Stables at 2:00 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend. June 22 will have a Hexbug Maze activity at 2:00 p.m. Participants must register beforehand.
The week of June 26 will have Wind Chime crafts on June 27 at 2:00 p.m. for teens and adults. Registration is required. June 28 will see a visit from Richard Scott for a Weather Talk program at 10:00 a.m. The last day, June 29 will be picture frame crafting for teens and adults at 2:00 p.m. Registration is required.
