A Thomasville man has died after being involved in a crash in Marengo County on Saturday, February 25. A Dixon Mills man was also involved in the crash.

According to a statement from State Troopers with ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency), Tyler T. Smith, 25, of Thomasville, was critically injured when his 2005 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle collided head-on with a 2019 Can-Am Outlander XMR all-terrain vehicle (ATV) driven by Jalonte D. Dixon, 25, of Dixon Mills.

The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. Saturday on Marengo County 6, about 8 miles north of Thomasville.

Smith and Dixon were both injured in the accident and were transported to University Hospital in Mobile. Smith later died on Sunday. Smith was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No other information is available as State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
