In Loving Memory of Skylar Maddison Criswell
April 21, 1999 – September 8, 2021

Skylar M. Criswell, age 22, was one of the most nicest people you’d ever meet. She was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and best friend to Kanesha Sanders. Skylar rededicated her life. She was baptized again and became a member of Gilfield Baptist Church on December 24, 2017 with Pastor Reverend DeWayne Charleston.

Skylar was preceded in death by her dad, Edward Gray Criswell Jr. (Sambo). Funeral services were held at Demopolis Memorial Garden. Officiating the service was Reverend Jeff Walters.

Survivors include: mother, Melissa Dunavent; grandfather, Charles Dunavent; grandmothers, Theresa Weekler, Granny Mary C. Foxhall (Foxy); sisters, Cierra Criswell and Hasley Carupp; nieces, Avianna Criswell and Za’Kyah Sanders; nephews, Kasen Davis, Kaden Davis and Zaykeri Sanders; brother, Charles Joseph Tannur; stepdad, Frank Tanner; girl best friend, Kanesha Danielle Sanders; boy bestfriend, Timmy Dewayne Alston Jr.; Pallbearers, Charlie Tanner, Demarcus Davis, Jazmme Figueroa, Jacob Tanner, David Tanner, Dalton Jowers. Directing was Kirk Funeral Home, Demopolis Chapel.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
