Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Hale County DHR strives to create permanency in every foster child’s life by recruiting and supporting the foster and adoptive families. We are searching for people who are passionate in making a difference in a child’s life. There may be doubts, fears or questions about becoming a foster and or/adoptive parent. But new families are desperately needed. The number of licensed, certified, and approved foster/adoptive family homes in the U.S continues to decline, while more and more children enter care or become available for adoption.

The process of becoming on adoptive and/or foster parent takes time. Orientation sessions will be provided for prospective applicants interested in the process. Our agency is required by law to assure that foster and adoptive children will be safe and well cared for in their new homes. We hope you understand that we can better meet the needs of our children and support our families if we get to know you and the gifts and talents you possess. In the meantime, there are many other ways you can make a difference in the life of a young person in foster care.

If you should have any questions or interested in becoming a foster and or/adoptive parent, contact Ms. Jamaria J. Williams at 334-624-2598.
