Though she maintained a variety of interests, some of her favorites included traveling all over the world with her husband and friends, spending time with her family, cloning and perfecting favorite famous restaurant dishes, entertaining, dancing, playing bridge, and flower gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Nelson Brown Jr., and son, Hugh Nelson Brown III.

She is survived by her daughter, Stella Watlington Brown, and son-in-law, John Joseph Hackmeyer Jr. of Catherine, Alabama.

The family wishes to thank her many caregivers at the Perry County Nursing Home who filled her final 18 months with ongoing participation in a variety of interesting activities, entertainment, celebratory events, worship, camaraderie, and a sense of community.
