Rosalyn Willingham Crocker (Ro) of Thomaston was born Oct. 29, 1934 in Demopolis and passed peacefully at home in Thomaston on July 27, 2020.
Ro is predeceased by her mother and father, Fannie Mae Rushing and Dewey Wilson Willingham Sr.; her sisters, Jannie Mae Barrington, Snow Wilkerson, Mary Moore; brother, Dewey Willingham Jr.; her husband, Charles Parten; and daughter-in-law, Jane Gross.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Don K. Crocker; her daughter, Tina Gross Westbrook (Gary); sons, John Gross and Scott Parten; grandchildren, Haley Westbrook Kirkpatrick (Sam), Lindsey Westbrook Lee (Christopher), Corey Gross Seale (Joey), Olivia Caroline Gross, Charlie and Carson Parten; great-grandchildren, Brooks and Kate Lee, Ann Hayes and Sam Kirkpatrick; and a great number of nieces, nephews, step-daughters and their families.
Ro was born, raised, married and raised her family in Demopolis where she worked for Vanity Fair Corporation for over 40 years in various capacities. She was widowed at an early age but her unfailing love, determination and hard work ensured that her sons and daughter were well cared for. Thirty-two years ago, Ro and Don found one another and she began a new and wonderful life chapter with him in Thomaston. His daughters, Nicky, Pam and Suzie, and the entire Crocker family welcomed Ro to their community and family. She was active in Sardis Baptist Church and enjoyed nothing more than preparing Sunday and holiday meals for her family, doting on grandchildren and laughing with friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Thomaston Cemetery on Wednesday, July 29 at 11 a.m. Due to necessary precautions, the family will not be able to host a visitation, but wishes to thank all those who loved Ro for their concern and care.
The family requests memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, to Sardis Baptist Church, 5765 County Road 36, Thomaston, Al. 36783.
