Whitfield Regional Hospital will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, Sept 24, 5:30 p.m., at Rooster Hall in downtown Demopolis. 

Dr. Eric Wallace, the Medical Director of UAB eMedicine and a Nephrologist will be leading the meeting.

Whitfield Regional Hospital has been offering eMedicine with 24/7 telehealth specialists from University of Alabama at Birmingham for several months. The different specialties are critical care, nephrology and stroke. Care is provided by a team at Whitfield Regional Hospital made up of nurses, hospitalists, other physicians and a telehealth specialist.

On-site and telehealth staff conduct assessments of patients, and the specialist follows the patient along with the Whitfield Regional Hospital staff.
