Choctaw County Career Center hosting work education barbecue

The Choctaw County Career Center is hosting Grill & Chill, a community work education barbecueWednesday, June 12 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. under the pavilion on the Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) campus. Employers and jobseekers are encouraged to attend for great food and valuable information. The event is free and open to the public.
Community partners for this event are CACC, the Alabama Department of Commerce, Alabama Works, the Southwest Alabama Partnership for Training and Development, the Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce, Alabama Public Television, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Career Center Manager Beverly Walker said, “There will be something for everyone. Employers can learn about programs like On-the-Job Training and Apprenticeships. Jobseekers will receive help with job searches, résumés, and interviewing. They will also learn about assistance programs to help pay for tuition and other education expenses.”
