Jim Hinson Phillips, age 85, of Thomaston passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at his home.
He was a cattle farmer and a member of Thomaston Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services were held at Thomaston Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randall Mims officiating. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden is directing the services.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith Phillips of Thomaston; three daughters, Nancy Phillips (Larry) Coxwell of Alabaster, Barbara Phillips (Robert J.) Webb of Birmingham and Lisa Phillips (Mark) Lovett of Alabaster; a sister, Johnnie Phillips Thomas of Albertville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Lee Coxwell, Brian Earnest, Gary Majors, John Finley, Walt Weninegar and Larry Holt.
Memorials may be made to the Thomaston Baptist Church.
