Pilot Club highlights brain awareness

March is Brain Awareness Month and the Demopolis Pilot Club is touring Marengo County schools throughout the month to educate young students about the importance of protecting their brain. Members of the Pilot Club was at Westside Elementary School on Monday, March 4, where they presented a puppet show aimed at educating students on Brain Awareness. Students each received a coloring book donated by the Alabama Power Service Organization as well as a Brain Minder Buddie Certificate. A school-wide drawing will be held for safety helmets. Along with WES, the Pilot Club will visit Linden Elementary, A.L. Johnson, Marengo County, Sweet Water, West Alabama Christian, as well as local pre-kindergarten classes.
