Sweet Water High School and the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education are now accepting pre-registration applications for the state’s high-quality, voluntary First Class Pre-K program for the 2019-2020 school year. All children who will be 4 years old on Sept. 1, 2019 are eligible; however, due to the limited number of First Class Pre-K classrooms located across the state, random drawings are used to select participants. Applicants must pre-register for the program’s random selection process by completing the online form located at alprek.asapconnected.com. Complete instructions for registrations may be picked up at Sweet Water High School’s main office or appointments can be made to assist with registration. Those who have already submitted paperwork to the school, those applications will be entered.
The deadline to pre-register for a spot in SWHS’s Alabama First Class Pre-K classroom is March 21. The random selection drawing will be held on March 22. A complete list of First Class Pre-K classrooms can be found at: http://children.alabama.gov/parents-families/findprek/
