Funeral services for Clinton Raynard Bailey of Chicago, Ill., a native of Demopolis, were held on Aug. 18, at 11 a.m. at Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. John H. Kennard officiated. Interment followed in Limestone Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive father, Clinton Bailey.
Survivors include his adoptive mother, Mary Bailey of Demopolis; his biological mother, Hattie Caldwell of Demopolis; six sisters, Lue Bertha (Chauncey) Jackson of Birmingham, Lue Crecy Webb, Helen Williams and Annie Jackson, all of Demopolis, and Mary Caldwell of Largo, Md.; five brothers, Robert Caldwell of Chicago, Ill., William Caldwell Sr. of Birmingham, Willie Caldwell of Alexandria, Va., Dr. William Henry Caldwell of Dayton, Ohio, and Andrew (Debra) Caldwell of Chicago, Ill.; one aunt, Nancy Scott of Faunsdale; two uncles, Will Scott of Mobile and J.C. Scott of Chicago, Ill.; 13 nieces; 18 nephews; eight great-nieces; four great-nephews; two extended uncles, the Rev. Daniel Woods of Dayton and Ruben Woods of Faunsdale; two extended brothers, Carl Perry and Beverly Perry, both of Demopolis; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
