A Tuscaloosa man was wounded in a weekend shooting incident in Linden.
Marlon Adams, a 29-year-old Tuscaloosa resident who was visiting family in Linden, was shot in the lower left leg at approximately 1:30 a.m. by a .380 caliber pistol, according to Linden Police Chief Robert Alston.
Adams was transported to Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Officials said his wound is not life-threatening.
Alston said Adams was in a verbal altercation with another individual, who pulled the weapon as a scare tactic.
The Linden Police Department is investigating the incident and will wait to release the name of the other individual involved until it is determined whether the incident was intentional or accidental.
