Wayne Faught

Wayne Leith Faught, age 62, of Greensboro passed away on May 23, 2010, at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
He was born on Feb. 29, 1948, in Hale County. He served on the Hale County board of education for 16 years and was a manager for Walgreens Inc. He was a lifetime member of the Greensboro Baptist Church and was a 22-year member of the Greensboro Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin Ellis and Agnes Blanton Faught.
Survivors include a daughter, Debby Faught of Mobile; a son, Daniel Wayne (Racha) Faught of Mobile; a brother, Ellis (Viva Dean) Faught of Greensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at Greensboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Dee McGuire officiating. The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directed the services.
Active pallbearers were Clay Faught, Ottis Morris, Ronnie Johnson, Frank Stegall, Fredrick Thomas and Tommy Williams. Honorary pallbearers were the Upper Class Sunday school class at Greensboro Baptist Church, his graduation class of 1966 and the Hale County board of education.
