James L. ‘Bo’ Ward

James L. “Bo” Ward, 89, passed away on Dec. 22, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Ward was born Dec. 4, 1928 to William Tillman and Irma Anderson Ward. He was an avid hunter and loved nature. He was a longtime resident of Demopolis where he owned Ward’s TV and Appliance. Mr. Ward honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Ward was preceded by his parents; sisters, Virginia Giles and Betty Ann Aydelott; brother, J.C. Ward; granddaughter, Leigh Ward Abrams; and former wife, Dolly S. Ward.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia R. Ward of Sweet Water; children, Jimbo (Amy) Ward of Demopolis, Bill (DeDe) Ward of Daphne, Toots (Bobby) Rogers of Greenville, Joe Ward of Greenville, Charlene (Roger) Fix of Cape Vincent, New York, Lori (Scott) Sudduth of Tuscaloosa, and Donna (David) Robinson of Sweet Water; brother, William T. Ward of Linden; grandchildren, Andy (Christy) Ward, Susan Ward Ford, Brittany (Jess) Mullens, Bo (Lindsay) Tucker, Laura (Cory) Causey, William Douglas, Will Sudduth, Lawson Sudduth, Kelsey Robinson, John David Robinson, Albert Peguero and Andrew (Heather) Fix; great-grandchildren, Ward Abrams, Will Abrams, Joey Ward, Tucker Ward, Sally Ward, Caswell Tucker, Evan Peguero and Arianna Fix.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. from Geneva Presbyterian Church in Sweet Water with Rev. Scott Armstrong officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Bo Tucker, Andy Ward, Bill Ward, Jeff Giles, Bill Giles and Gene Tolbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Ketcham, Gordon Moore and Jim Watson.
In lieu of flowers memorials be made to Geneva Presbyterian Church, Geneva Cemetery Fund or First United Methodist Church of Demopolis.
