Friendship Club holds meeting at FUMC

The Friendship Club met on April 10, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. There were 51 members present and two guests: Ellen Manning McGuire and Pam Perry Crawford.
The Annie McLeod Service Group was responsible for the meal, which consisted of grilled pork chops, baby lima beans, pear salad, rolls and assorted desserts. Those responsible for preparing and serving the meal were: Mr. and Mrs. Billy Duke, Suzanne Young, Lois Henderson, and Linda McGillivray. Cards were sent to Joyce Hitt and Margaret Cross.
Kayte Melton led members in the singing of “Happy Birthday” to those present who have birthdays in April; namely Barbara Hill, Johnny Arnett, and Joyce Haynes. Music was provided by Kathy Patterson and the blessing was given by Rev. Johnny Arnett.
The next meeting of the Friendship Club will be May 8. The public is welcome to attend. Those wishing to play dominoes or bridge should plan to arrive by 10 a.m.
