Currently under investigation, the Marengo County Sheriff’s Department is gathering data to solve a crime that took place Monday afternoon.

Jessie Houston, 49, was found shot in her Gallion, Alabama home and found by her 11-year-old son when he returned home from school in Linden.

According to Marengo County Sheriff Richard Bates, the goal is to gather as much information as possible before releasing arrest information and potential charges.
