Emma (Snow) Wilkerson

Emma (Snow) Wilkerson passed away October 10 at her residence.
She was born in Demopolis and was a resident for the last 89 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed her friends in the Friendship Club. She loved working at the Bazaar and also the Bargain Box after she retired from Traeger’s Bakery.
Mrs. Wilkerson is preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Wilkerson; son, Walter J. Wilkerson Jr.; parents, Dewey and Fannie Mae Rushing Willingham Sr.; sister, Janie Mae Barrington; brother, Dewey (Bubba) Willingham Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Mickey (Ronnie) Gardner of Pelham; son, Steve (Sheila) Wilkerson of Demopolis; granddaughter, Miranda (Mitchell) Milam of Demopolis; grandson, Wesley (Kristi) Watts of Livingston; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Rosalyn W. Crocker of Thomaston and Mary W. Moore of Demopolis; a host of nieces and nephews; a very special friend Mattie Humphrey of Eutaw, Al.
Pallbearers will be John “Pookey” Gross Jr., Scott Parten, Eddie Gardner, Tom Perry, Wesley Watts and Mitchell Milam.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joyce Johnson, Mary Phillips, Lilly Edwards, Comfort Care Hospice, Dr. Alex Curtis and the Nursing Staff of Bryan W. Whitfield Hospital.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the First Methodist Church of Demopolis or a Charity of ones choice.
