Jessie Boyce McBrayer, 76, of Demopolis, died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Rex Kent officiating.
The body will lie in state one hour before the service.
Burial will be held at Demopolis Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.
He was a native of Louisville, Miss. and a resident of Demopolis for many years. He was amember and past deacon of First Baptist Church. He retired after 42 years of service with Southern Natural Gas, and was a friend to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah D. McBrayer of Demopolis; two daughters, Diane (Rick) Cleveland and Sandra M. Baker, both of Demopolis; a son, Jessie Derrell (Janet) McBrayer of Birmingham; four brothers, Royce (Opal) McBrayer of Louisville, Miss., Cecil (Liz) McBrayer of Weatherford, Okla., Bill (Lois) McBrayer of Louisville, Miss. and Rich (Nancy) McBrayer of West Point, Miss.; four grandchildren, Josh McBrayer, Hayden McBrayer, Reid McBrayer and Morgan Baker.
Pallbearers are Josh McBrayer, Reid McBrayer, Steve McBrayer, Chris McBrayer, Keith McBrayer and Joey Stokes.
Honorary pallbearers are the Fred Lewis Sunday School Class, deacons at First Baptist Church and employees of SONAT/El Paso Gas.
