Mary Louise Montz

Mary Louise Montz, 90, of Linden, died Sunday, Feb. 15, at her home.

She was born Aug. 11, 1924, in Centreville. She was a retired central supply worker for 24 years at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church for 44 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester N. Montz, and son, Patrick Newton Montz.

She is survived by her son, Franklin Austin (Samantha) Montz of Thomasville; two daughters, Sarah Ann (John) Hammack of Linden and Emily Lyquinta (Dwain) Glass of Linden; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at Calvary Baptist Church on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Coats and the Rev. Robert Pearce officiating. Burial was held at New Octagon Cemetery in Linden.
