A pedestrian was killed Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, after being struck by an unknown vehicle on U.S. Highway 43 in Marengo County.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the crash, which occurred at approximately 12:05 a.m. near mile marker 104, two miles north of Dixons Mills.

Pedestrian Dwight Stevenson Harris, 43, of Sweet Water, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.
