John Kipling “Kip” Yelverton

John Kipling “Kip” Yelverton, 52, of Gallion, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, at his home.
He was born Sept. 5, 1962, in Demopolis. He was a former truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dana Ray Yelverton; son, John Kipling Yelverton Jr.; and his parents, Clyde Melvin Yelverton Sr. and Evelyn Ray Yelverton.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Dakota (Melissa) Yelverton of Gallion; two step-daughters, Laura Beth Lamb of Somerville and Amanda Jo Lamb of Somerville; two brothers, Clyde Melvin (Terri) Yelverton Jr. of Demopolis and Wilmer Ray (Wanda) Yelverton of Hazel Green; two sisters, Janet Y. (Jimmy) Marlowe of Gallion and Cecelia Y. (Ray) McCarter of Forkland; grandchild, Dakota Wayne Beverly of Gallion; step-grandchild, Aidyn Lamb of Somerville; father-in-law, Jerry Ray of Providence; and mother-in-law, Brenda G. Ray of Providence.
Memorial services were held at Providence Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. with Paul Whitcomb officiating.
