READER OF THE WEEK: Jefferson enjoys Clifford, “Fancy Nancy” books

Breanna Jefferson has been named The Demopolis Times’ “Reader of the Week” at the Demopolis Public Library.
The seven year old lives in Demopolis with her parents, Melody and Timothy Jefferson, and brother, Kayden.
Breanna will attend the second grade at Westside Elementary when school starts back in the fall.
Though Breanna’s favorite subject in school is math, she enjoys being a part of the library’s summer reading program, “Fizz, Boom, Read.”
When asked which books she enjoyed reading the most at the library, Breanna said “the Clifford books” and “Fancy Nancy.”
With more than 126 books in print, Norman Bridwell’s “Clifford the Big Red Dog” is a classic children’s book series. Fancy Nancy, a series started in 2005 by author Jane O’Connor, follows a young girl named (no surprise) Nancy.
The Demopolis Public Library would like to invite everyone to participate in their summer reading programs. Registration is open until Friday, June 13.
