Candidates running for office in June’s primary election will participate in an election forum Tuesday, May 6.

The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce and Demopolis Area Business Council are hosting the event.

The forum will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center.

Candidates for Marengo County Sheriff and Revenue Commissioner as well as those running for House of Representatives in District 71 and 72 have been invited to participate.

The forum will begin with 3-minute introductions by each candidate. There will then be a moderated question and answer section as time allows.

Voters are encouraged to submit questions to the Chamber or Business Council. Questions should be written or emailed by Friday, May 2.
