The Demopolis High School softball team came up empty at the Gulf Coast Classic tournament held Monday through Wednesday in Gulf Shores.

The Lady Tigers played six games over three days, returning home without a win. Two of the losses came to top-10 6A teams in Sparkman and Spain Park. Sparkman is the two-time defending 6A state champion. They also fell to the No. 5 team in Class 3A, Winfield City.

The tournament was set up for teams to play five games in pool play Monday and Tuesday before beginning a single-elimination tournament on Wednesday.
