David Williams, the son of the late Herman Williams and Carrie Williams of Demopolis, recently received recognition for his work supporting the AMCOM Logistics Center at Redstone Arsenal.
The ALC is the logistics component of the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command. The ALC develops, acquires, fields and sustains logistics support for the Army Aviation and Missile systems and associated support equipment to ensure the Army’s weapon system readiness in any operation worldwide.
Williams was recognized for helping the center transition from one IT asset management system to a new one, individually inventorying more than 10,000 pieces of equipment.
The transition involved inventorying each piece by serial number to ensure everything was correct when it was migrated.
Williams is a graduate of Demopolis High School who currently resides in Huntsville.
