The University of West Alabama will present its annual Legacy Celebration concert in recognition of Black History month on Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at Bell Conference Center.
Led by Willie Williams, director of choral activities at UWA, the performance will offer a wide variety of music and talent that is sure to entertain as well as educate. Performers include UWA students and special guests.
“This concert is a celebration that is enjoyed each year by not only the UWA family, but the surrounding communities in our area,” Williams said. “This is one of our favorite performances of the year, and the passion shows from the first note to the last.”
The Legacy Celebration concert is sponsored by UWA’s Department of Fine Arts and the Sumter County Fine Arts Council. Admission is free to the public. For more information on the event, contact Willie Williams at wewilliams@uwa.edu or (205) 652-5414.
