The Demopolis Police Department arrested four individuals who were targeting several local businesses in Demopolis on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The group of shoplifters came to Demopolis from Meridian, Miss., to commit thefts in the city. They targeted Radio Shack and Goody’s.

The four shoplifters that were arrested were:

•Donnoreo Gowdy, 24, for two counts of third-degree theft of property

•Lakreesha Gowdy, 22, for two counts of third-degree theft of property

•Barbara Hill, 37, for two counts of third-degree theft of property

•Laporcha Littleton, 21, for one count of third-degree theft of property

They were processed and transported to the Marengo County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.

DPD Chief Tommie Reese praised the Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Officers for their involvement in this capture.
