Alabama Photo Voter Identification Card events to be held Jan. 31

An event will be held Friday, Jan. 31 for voters over the age of 60 to receive photo identification cards.
The Alabama Department of Senior Services and the Alabama-Tombigbee Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging will hold an Alabama Photo Voter Identification Card event at the Dixons Mills Senior Center from 9-11 a.m. and at the Theo Ratliff Activity Center in Demopolis from 12-3 p.m.
Registered voters over the age of 60 who need a photo ID card can take advantage of the opportunity to apply for a new voter ID card.
Voters do not need a new card if they have any of the following items:
•A valid Alabama driver’s license
•A valid non-driver identification issued by a state or county department or agency
•A valid Alabama Photo Voter Identification Card
•A valid U.S. passport
•A valid employee identification card from any government entity
•A valid student or employ identification care from a school located within Alabama, provided the ID card contains a photo
•A valid military identification card with photo
•A valid tribal identification card with photo
Any senior adult who is unable to attend the event or a registered voter of any age can apply for an Alabama Photo Voter Identification Card at the local registrar’s office.
Homebound registered voters who vote via absentee ballot are not required to have a photo ID card.
