UPDATE: Police still searching for two suspects in separate Saturday shootings

As of Monday afternoon, the Demopolis Police Department is still seeking information as to the whereabouts of Travis Doniel Wesley, 29, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Lequinton Montrell Lomax, and Christopher Banks, 27, who is wanted in connection with the first-degree assault of Joe Vaughn.
Wesley is considered armed and dangerous, according to authorities. The murder occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Wesley is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 173 pounds.
The alleged murder occurred on Wolf Circle in Demopolis, and the suspect used a handgun.
DPD Chief Tommie Reese is asking the community and anyone who has information about Wesley to turn him in to law enforcement before he harms someone else.
Reese said his department has been searching around town, but Wesley is still at large. This is the first homicide since Reese became police chief in 2009.
Banks, from the Gallion and Greene County areas, is wanted in connection with the first-degree assault of Joe Vaughn, which occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 on Patterson Drive in Demopolis. He is still considered armed and dangerous.
The victim was transported to DCH is Tuscaloosa for treatment of gunshot wounds to his leg.
