Toby Koch Smith, 76, of Eutaw, died Sept. 12 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16 at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw with Carl Sudduth officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidore and Lena Morris Koch and her husband, James (Jimmy) A. Smith.

Survivors include her son, Marc (Johanna) McLelland of Eutaw; daughters, Anne (Randall) Kornegay of Woodstock, and Allison (Randy) Grimes of Northport; stepdaughter, Natalie (Lamont) Lavender of Aliceville; stepson, James (Linda) Smith of McCalla; brother, Bill Koch of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley (J) Lauderdale, Toby Lynn (Chad) Hoggle, Jennifer Grimes, Joseph Grimes, Lena Kornegay, Clifton (Adrienne) Durrett, Melissa Durrett, Paige (Jeremy) Price, Webb (Brenna) Lavender, Sara Lavender, Jimmy Smith and Kaytie Smith; and great-grandchildren, Allie Hunter Hoggle, Cade Durrett, Jake Durrett and Will Durrett; special friend, Linda Wheat; and special care givers, Caroline Staggers, Ola Mae Scott, Willie Brunson and Willie Smith.

Toby “Toto” was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved watching sports and she enjoyed getting together with her bridge friends.
