UPDATED: Downtown power outage postponed

The power outage for downtown Demopolis set for Sunday, Oct. 6 has been postponed due to the threat of an incoming storm.
Alabama Power Company plans to do their work next Sunday, Oct. 13, weather permitting.
The power company will cut off power downtown from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to work on transformers in the area, and the city is working to have stop signs placed at three intersections for four-way stops.
The following locations will be four-way stops for Sunday, Oct. 6:
•Washington Street and Walnut Avenue
•Washington Street and Main Avenue
•Capitol Street and Walnut Avenue
