The Demopolis Lions Club will hold their annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 19. The plates include pancakes, sausage and a fruit cup.
Kathi Wilson, a member of the Lions Club, said the money goes toward various causes in the community.
“We support many different community organizations,” Wilson said. “The main purpose of the Lions Club is blindness prevention, so proceeds will go to that as well.”
The Lions Club has supported several local events and groups throughout the past such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the Demopolis City Schools Foundation, the Distinguished Young Women program and the Demopolis Fire Department.
The orders are pick-up only from 7-9 a.m. at the First Baptist Church drive-through, where the food will be prepared starting early Saturday morning.
This is the 10th year of the pancake breakfast fundraiser, and Wilson said it has been a successful event each year. It is the only fundraiser the Lions Club does each year.
Tickets are $7, and they are available from any Lions Club member, or interested persons can call (334) 216-1029.
