James Clinton Brown, 79, of Gallion, died Sunday, Aug. 4 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss.
He was born Nov. 17, 1933, to Joseph Benjamin and Ruby Miller Brown. He worked for Gulf States Paper Company in maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Benjamin and Ruby Miller Brown; wife, Evelyn Marie Mitchell Brown; son, Bill Royster; sisters, Carolyn Snowden and Joyce Lang; and brother, James Everette Brown.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Campbell of Destin, Fla., and Beverly (Dan) McDaniel of Eugene, Ore.; son, Terry (Connie) Brown of Demopolis; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis with the Revs. Carl Williams and Brooks Barkley officiating. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Snowden, Mike Snowden, Stan Snowden, Allan Brown, Ben Brown and Rob Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be the First Baptist Church Joy Club and Sumter Health and Rehabilitation staff.
