Chamber seeking property information

Interested realtors, property owners and agents met Wednesday to discuss how to help people wanting information about commercial or residential property available for lease or purchase.
Brenda Tuck from the Marengo County Economic Development Authority and Diane Brooker with the Industrial Development Board were present at the meeting to help develop the plan.
The Demopolis Area Chamber of Comemrce would like to create a spreadsheet that could be found online at the Chamber, MCEDA and city websites.
The Chamber is looking for the following information: properties by name/location, square footage, road frontage info, zoning and contact information for each listing. They do not need pricing.
“We get many calls between MCEDA and the Chamber seeking information on commercial properties,” Tuck said. “We feel there is a need for this information to be made accessible online.”
Any real estate business, agent or person is encouraged to submit property information to the Chamber. They plan to update the list once a month as changes are sent.
This is a free service and marketing opportunity provided by the Chamber for any interested party. The Chamber will provide this information to any potential new businesses wanting to locate here.
“We are looking to get this information as soon as possible,” Chamber Director Jenn Tate said. “We want to be able to direct people to the real estate agents and commercial property owners. We don’t want to turn people away, so this would be a great resource.”
