A pair of Marengo County missionaries on a Bethel Baptist Builders trip were injured Monday in a weather-related accident in Aubrey, Texas.
Tim Hall, First Baptist Church of Demopolis’ Minister of Music, and Corey Anderson of Sweet Water were injured when part of a building collapsed on them due to strong straight-line winds.
Pam Gibbs, secretary of the Bethel Baptist Association in Linden, said Hall sustained a broken arm and broken leg, but that he was traveling back to Demopolis. She said Anderson suffered a head injury in which surgery was required, and that he was still in the hospital as of Thursday morning.
Carl Williams, pastor of the First Baptist Church, said he spoke with Hall on Thursday, and that he is doing well.
“Tim wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers this week, and wanted to ask for continued prayer as both of them recover,” Williams said. “He told me he had seen pictures of what happened and that they were very fortunate that it wasn’t worse than it was. He will be OK, he’s just real bruised up.”
Gibbs said there were other people on the trip, but Hall and Anderson were the only two that were injured.
