Demopolis CATV plans to broadcast all six state championship football games on Demopolis CATV Channel 12.
“It’s coming in on (digital) channel 12.2, and we’re going to change it over to 12,” said Demopolis CATV president Len Goldman. “We’re going to run it on analog. It might not come in perfect all the time because it’s coming from 120 miles away and digital. I’m going to check on running it on Channel 42 from Birmingham. That’s about 110 miles away on medium power. Either way, we’re going to put it on Cable Channel 12.
“We’re going to try to run all of the Super 6 games besides Demopolis, Thursday and Friday.”
The Demopolis Tigers will take on Russellville tonight at 7 p.m. for the 5A state title.
The playoffs begin today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. with the 3A championship game between Cordova and Piedmont. At 3 p.m., Brantley takes on Hackleburg for the 1A state title.
On Friday, the 4A championship begins the day at 11 a.m. between Cherokee County and Jackson, while Clay County and Reeltown battle for the 2A crown at 3 p.m. and Hoover and Prattville determine the 6A state champion at 7 p.m.
