Demopolis JV 12, Jackson JV 4

JACKSON-The JV Lady Tigers finally got to play a complete game on Friday in Jackson.
The first inning started with the young Tigers scoring three runs and that set the tone for the game.
Dorothy Knapp walked and stole second.
She would eventually score on a passed ball.
Hunter Lewis followed with a walk and steal of second.
She would score on a fly ball hit by Blakely Tartt.
The ball was mishandled by the left fielder and Tartt was able to rumble around the bases and score herself.
Jackson responded with 2 runs in the bottom of the first frame to cut the lead to 3-2.
The Lady Aggies would even things up in the bottom of the third by taking advantage of a defensive error by the Lady Tigers.
Demopolis would respond in a big way after squandering a 3-0 lead.
Morgan Patterson started the Tiger rally by reaching on an error in the 4th inning.
She would steal second and third base while Stewart Gross earned a walk.
Patterson then went home on a passed ball.
Gross would move around the bases on passed balls.
Molly Barnes also walked and stole second.
Gross and Barnes would score on passed balls to widen the margin for Demopolis.
In the 5th inning, the Lady Tigers began to score at will.
Hunter Lewis started the rally with a walk and steal of second.
Blakely Tartt was then hit by a pitch.
Lara Tucker then reached on a bunt single to load the bases.
Mallory Henderson then singled to left to score Lewis.
Tartt was thrown out trying to score on the play as Tucker moved to third during the throw.
Patterson then moved the runners up as she reached on a bunt and allowed Tucker to score.
Barnes then walked to load the bases.
Knapp then singled in two runs.
Brandi McGee followed with a two run single to finish up the Lady Tiger offense for the day.
Brandi McGee (1-0) pitched a complete game for the JV Tigers.
She gave up two hits while walking five and striking out nine.
The JV will travel on March 12-13 to play in the Auburn Invitational.
