Mrs. Virginia Stewart, 77, of Thomaston, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Larkin and Scott Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Fountain officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.

She is survived by devoted friends, Martha and Harvard Spencer, Ethel Cade, Maggie Rembert and Ernestine Wolfe, all of Thomaston; and a host of other friends.

Robert Hester Sr.

Boligee

Robert Hester Sr., 81, of Boligee, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Services were held Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the New Fellowship Baptist Church in Boligee with Rev. Steve Zinnerman officiating.

Burial was held in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.

He is survived by one son, Robert Hester Jr. of Cottondale; a devoted friend, Roberta Mack of Boligee; four stepchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Donald Henley

Boligee

Donald Henley, 40, of Boligee, died Saturday, March 230, 2004, in Prichard.

Services were held Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the Mt. Pilgrim P.B. Church in Boligee with Rev. Johnny Harris Sr. officiating.

Burial was held in the Knott Cemetery under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.

He is survived by a loving mother, Ms. Jane Henley of Boligee; father, James Carter of Boligee; six sisters, Ida Henley and Dorothy (Nathan) Washington of Boligee, Celestine (Leslie) Johnson of Clairton, Pa., Lucile Carter and Louise Croxton of Boligee and Andrea Carter of Detroit, Mich.; four brothers, Clero Henley of Coleman, Fla., Joe (Diane) Henley of Birmingham, and Oscar Carter and Jessie Carter of Detroit, Mich.; four aunts, four uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Eleanor Whitehead-Washington

Los Angeles, Ca.

Eleanor Whitehead-Washington, 62, of Los Angeles, Ca. and a former native of Demopolis, died recently at Daniel Freeman Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Services was

held on Friday, March 26, 2004, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. Euhart Anderson officiating.

Burial was held in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.

She was a graduate of Livingston University (now UWA) with a B.A. degree in Music. She was blessed with many musical talents, but she was a passionate pianist. She mastered many styles such as jazz, classical and gospel.

She taught private lessons in Germany, Illinois, Alabama and Califronia.

Mrs. Whitehead-Washington is survived by a devoted companion, Thomas Anderson of Los Angeles, Ca.; one aunt, Fannie Black of Birmingham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dock Williams Sr.

Spring Valley, N.Y.

Dock Williams Sr., 68, of Spring Valley, N.Y. and a former native of Jefferson, died Monday, March 22, 2004.

Services were held Monday, March 29, 2004, at Moscow Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. John Watkins officiating.

Burial was held in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Phillips of Nyack, N.Y.; his children, Shirley (Jerome) Phillips of Grand Rapids, Mich., Virginia (Robert) Fields of Demopolis, Stacey Williams of Indianapolis, Ind., Dock (Cynthia) Williams Jr. of Demopolis, and Marlon Williams and Sheldon Williams of Philadelphia, Pa.; one sister, Annie R. Jones of Nyack, N.Y.; one aunt, Queen Mary Wright of Demopolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
