Demopolis athletics have busy weekend

This past weekend was a busy one for Demopolis High School athletics.
The baseball team went on the road Friday and Saturday, and won two of the three games they played. On Friday, they traveled to Thomasville, and came up short, 5-3.
On Saturday, the Tigers traveled to Jackson and played a double-header. In the first game, they faced Beauregard High School, and came away with a 7-5 victory. They then went up against Jackson in the second game and won 3-0.
The Lady Tigers softball team played in the Brookwood Bash tournament over the weekend, and came up empty in the three games they played. They faced Pleasant Grove in the first game and lost 7-5. In the second game, the Lady Tigers met Brookwood, and came up short, 6-4. In the third game of the tournament, they went up against Bibb County and lost that game as well, 4-0.
The DHS soccer team was also in action over the weekend. They played two games and went 1-0-1. Their game against Robertsdale ended in a 2-2 tie, and the Tigers shut out Tallasee 5-0.
On Monday, the Tiger golf team was in action at Monroe County. The teams competing in the match were Monroe County, Blacksher, Excel, Jackson, Washington County and Demopolis. The Tigers finished the match at the top of the leaderboard.
