All in all it was a pretty solid week for Jeron Boykin. Not only did the 6-7, 302-pound offensive lineman get a little bit of attention statewide when he earned honorable mention all-state honors, he became A.L. Johnson’s first football commit in 10 years when he verbally agreed to spend his college career playing for the Troy Trojans.

Not a bad way to cap off the year for a senior who helped lead his team to the playoffs after injury-plagued sophomore and junior campaigns.
