Mrs. Ethel Love, Greensboro, died Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Colonial Haven Care and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Salem Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the Alex Chapel Church Cemetery in Greensboro. Washington, Paige, and Rollins Mortuary directing. The body will lie in state from12:00PM – 1:00PM. The Rev. Hezekiah Young will officiate.
Annie Laurie Pritchett
Thomaston, Ala
Mrs. Annie Laurie Pritchett, 89, Thomaston died Monday, July 12, 2004 at the Marengo County Nursing Home. Funeral services were Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Thomaston Baptist Church. The Revs. Randall Mims and Jerry Henry officiated with interment following at the Thomaston Cemetery, Thomaston. She is survived by two sons, Clarence Crenshaw “Cren” Pritchett, Selma and Robert Ashley “Bobby” Pritchett, Thomaston; two sisters, Nell Russ and Betty Henry of Montgomery; a brother, Robert Alvis, Jr, Birmingham; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Crenshaw “Buddy” Pritchett, Jr., and two sisters, Alice Maude Parker and Helen May Dunn. Pallbearers were Clevis Kaeo, Jimmy Brame, Billy Stokes, Winston Mosley, Terry Counselman, Robert Griffith, Jeff Ladurin, Glen Stringer, and Roy Ethridge, Jr.

Mr. James Wallace Kirkham, 67, Sweet Water, died Monday, July 12, 2004 at USA Medical Center. Funeral Services were Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 2:00PM at Sweet Water Baptist Church. The Rev. Douglas Turner officiated with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden directed. Mr. Kirkham was a retired Lab Supervisor at Gulf States Paper Mill in Demopolis. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Nettles Kirkham, Sweet Water; his father, Bennie Leo Kirkham, Sweet Water; a son, James Wallace Kirkham, Jr. Linden; Daughter Kristy (John) Bridges, Linden; two step daughters, Traci (Jonathan) Stein, Mobile and Dana (Eddie) Burbage, Linden; two brothers, Bobby (Nell) Kirkham and Benjamin (Aileen) Kirkham, Tomball, Texas; and four grandchildren, John Wallace Bridges, Logan Brooks Burbage, Linden, Lane-Braeden Burbage, Linden and Reid-Claire Stein of Mobile.
Pallbearers were Matthew Kirkham, Mary Kirkham, Gary Kirkham, John Bridges, Jonathan Stein, and Eddie Burbage.
