The University of West Alabama Athletic Department unveiled its new athletic logo at its annual Kickoff Dinner held on July 24. The new logo replaces the sport-specific Tiger Mascot “Wink” that the University adopted in 1995. Special thanks to Jason Guynes of the UWA Department of Fine Arts and Tammy Bonner and Jimmy Robinson of the UWA Department of Printing for their countless hours of contribution to the development on the new logo. The Athletic Department would also like to thank the students who entered the contest for their fine work that helped to stimulate many good ideas for the logo.
