A Demopolis man has died after being involved in a two-vehicle crash just west of Linden on Thursday morning. 

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a statement that David R. Freeman, 72, was fatally injured when the 2016 GMC Sierra pickup he was driving was struck by the 2019 Mack tractor-trailer driven by Ronald Morgan, 67, of Thomasville. Freeman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan.9, on Alabama 28 near 38 mile marker, approximately four miles west of Linden in Marengo County.

ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the crash.
