Curtis William Hale, age 90, of Linden died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024 at Hill Hospital of Sumter County in York. He was born Sept. 29, 1934 in Octagon to Harden and Jettie Lee Hale. He was a retired maintenance foreman and a member of Linden Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Frances Hale; sons, Kent Alan Hale and Karl Edmond Hale; daughter, Frances Karen Hale; brother, Mitchel Hale; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Linden Baptist Church on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Chris Kynard officiating. Burial followed at Octagon Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Will Pope, Daniel Pope, Tyler Hale, Sebastian Hale, Gabrial Hale and Slade Hale.

Honorary pallbearers were the nephews of Curtis William Hale.
